Two different features
Google Cast sends the content URL to a receiver which plays it. Screen mirroring uses Android’s system features to display your phone screen on a TV. They are separate options; support for one does not guarantee support for the other.
Chromecast and Google TV
Open Cast in the player and choose Chromecast / Google TV. Connect the phone and receiver to the same Wi-Fi network. Google Cast requires Google services. The receiver must be able to access the content; formats, authentication and provider-specific headers can prevent playback.
Mirror your screen
Choose Mirror screen to open system options such as Smart View or Miracast, where available. Select the TV in Android settings. Returning takes you back to the player. The app cannot add mirroring capabilities that your device does not support.
If the TV does not appear
Check that both devices are on the same network and that your TV supports the selected option. Guest networks may block device discovery. Universal support for every TV, Fire TV or locally downloaded file is not guaranteed.
